Can you afford to stay alive?

Even worse, can you afford to get sick? Things are not looking so great for the US economy. Gas is up, food is up, healthcare is way up, and the old nest egg has been squashed. If you were looking for your home equity and your 401K plan to supplement your social security, it may be time to reconsider your plan.

Take a minute. Take another if you need it. It won’t be long until you realize that you cannot afford to get sick, or even stay alive if you keep doing what you are doing. Preventive care is no longer a “good idea” to do when you have time. Working out is not a hobby that you might take up later. Taking your vitamins may not be a choice unless you have a very rich uncle somewhere who never married, and has named you his very favorite niece or nephew.

Is it going to get better? Better for whom? Well, the healthcare industry has not done a great job at much, and don’t have too. They have money and can afford lobbyist and lawyers. They can afford to test you, bill you, charge you, and damage you all they want. There is simply no reason not to. It has always worked, and as long as it works, it won’t get fixed. “It ain’t broke” in their eyes.

You, on the other hand, cannot afford even a common cold, let alone a side effect of some drug that no one will reimburse you for.

Preventive care is up to you. You have all of the choices and power. This may be the year that eating right, reconsidering the real risks associated with prescriptions, and exercising become your greatest priority. Procrastinating Perfect Health

We all know what little ways that we harm our health. We all know what changes we need to make….. but put off…. Just a little longer…. Thinking that it will be easier then.

And then we make those things our New Years Resolution…. For about 2 days… and decide that it is not time to let those self destructive life choices go. A few really stick to the plan. We are all amazed. How did they do it?

But for most of us, we use these little things to sabotage our lives. It is really not a matter of education. We are educated! What we are also is: MASTERS OF DENIAL!

Who doesn’t know by now that smoking kills? Who doesn’t know that junk food will make you fat and eventually kill you? Who doesn’t know by now that drama will mess up your life? And so on, and on…….. for another year.

So why do we all (and I do mean ALL), do it?

Oh there are thousands of reasons. Mankind is brilliant at justifying the fact that we are attracted to harmful things. Let’s see, there is the time element “I don’t have time to exercise or eat right”. You have time to eat wrong, and watch TV, right? So that reasoning doesn’t work for anyone but the person who needs it.

Destructive self behaviors usually tell us that they reduce stress, but in fact, usually increase it. These behaviors entice us with immediate gratification, while robbing us of the things we really seek. Destructive behaviors are the great deceivers.

In case you have already blown the New Year’s Resolution, let’s start again with another approach: Honesty

This year, let’s take another shot at it……

1. Take an honest look at how you use your harmful behavior. Is it what you would want for yourself?
2. Do you use your harmful behavior to protect you from doing what you really want to do?
3. How much time do you deal with “that nagging little voice” telling you that what you are doing is NOT good for you?
4. Who do you blame your behavior on?
5. How much stress does your little behavior cause you? Do you worry what others would think? Do you worry about your health?
6. What if the game was over? What if you were free? What would you do without all the stress and worry?
7. What if you got healthier?
8. What could you do with your life if you didn’t spend so much of your life dealing with this?
9. What stops you?
10. Who enables you to continue your destructive behavior?
11. What is it going to take?
12. Who cares what date the calendar says? The day that you reclaim your life IS the first day of the rest of your life.
13. Just think, if you can do this, you can do anything. Take your power back. You are the only one that can make decisions for you, your body and your life.

Milk is for Calves

I guess everyone has seen the commercials about “Milk does a body good”. The message goes even further: the commercial product known as cow’s milk has somehow been embedded into America’s subconscious as wholesome. Children are forced to drink cow’s milk as a beverage at school meals and at home. Some children have even been given cows milk in bottles. Adults assume that it prevents disease like osteoporosis and is healthy.
Here’s the problem We are not cows. We are humans.

Please notice a little law of nature. No other mammal nurses from another mammal. That is because IT ISN’T NORMAL. Mammals (that would include us) give birth to their young and nurse them for some short period of time. At that point in time, they stop nursing and wean their young off their own milk.

Please notice that the act of consuming lactation (milk) is known as NURSING. If you are a human and can read this, you need to be WEANED. Continuing to nurse past preschool age is just a little weird….. not to mention the species thing.

Laws of nature are meant to preserve us. How could we have broken such a law and gotten away with it?

Well, we didn’t. The health statistics are in: According to American Heart Association “1,200,000 new and recurrent coronary attacks per year.” Deaths from heart disease is getting higher and higher…. The latest numbers are from 2003: 479,305 US deaths.

How is this related to milk consumption? The World Health Organization did a study to find correlation between food consumption and death. It found a perfect correlation between milk protein consumption and coronary mortality. That’s right, it will kill you. There are many theories about how that happens over time http://www.tbkfitness.com/milk.html but my opinion is that is isn’t meant to be consumed by humans because it is COW’S MILK. IT IS MEANT FOR BABY COWS.

The commercialization of milk and milk products is a marketing work of genius. How did we ever convince people to consume this stuff? Even more amazing is how did people learn to associate disease prevention with milk consumption? Marketing works.

But does it make sense? We are told that drinking milk prevents bone disease. (remember the “milk does a body good” thing?). Cows don’t have bone disease, and they don’t drink milk. They eat grass. The largest bones found in a mammal on the face of the earth today, is in the blue whale. It grows to over 100 tons, gives live birth, nurses their young for approximately 7 – 8 months, weans them, and lives on krill, small fish and plankton. These massive bones do not have holes in them, and this animal NEVER consumes any milk from a COW.

Milk only does small calves bodies good, and then for only a small period of time. I guess we need to be clear about WHOSE body we are talking about in the commercial. It must be a “fine print” thing.

Breast Cancer … Early Detection is NOT Prevention

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month…. Complete with pink t-shirts, pens, stickers, and you name it. What are we supposed to be aware of? I went to the official website http://www.breastcancerawareness.com. There you can order all of your pink stuff. How is this going to save anyone’s life? I looked under prevention and found the following information: ”Talk to your doctor about methods of preventing cancer that might be effective for you.” Upon closer inspection, I found surgery and drugs offered. How is this prevention? What is offered is LOTS of information about self breast exams and annual mammograms.

Here’s a fact: EARLY DETECTION IS NOT PREVENTION. That’s right…. Sitting around waiting year after year between your mammograms for the lump to appear is NOT preventing anything. In fact, it leaves you frightened and helpless. This is NOT healthy.

The facts are that breast cancer is one of the most treatable but more over, PREVENTABLE kinds of cancer despite what the official website states. Statistics vary upon which reference noted, but well over 90% of women survive. It is impossible to state how many women prevent it… because it never happens.

You can do more than buy pink tick tacks or a pink ribbon. You can become educated. All breast cancer is hormone dependent. Specifically, it is estrogen dependent. Women who have had their ovaries removed simply don’t get breast cancer. (http://www.cancermonthly.com/cancer_basics/breast.asp) So is estrogen a bad thing? Certainly not. It allows women to be young, beautiful, sexual, and FERTILE. Estrogen is one of the hormones that allow us to have children. This certainly doesn’t mean to run out and get your ovaries removed. It means that taking a close look at where all of your estrogen is coming from and how it is being stored in your body is important.

First of all, not all estrogen is created equally. There are two kinds of estrogen (to keep it simple). One is a good kind, and the other is not (kind of like cholesterol). Science has yet to figure exactly how it works. What they have found is that blocking all cells from being receptive to estrogen prevents some cancer (but can create others). In the healthy world, we know that estrogen is essential to life. We know that all healing comes from being in balance. We also know that if you want to get well, you don’t study sick people. You study healthy people. You look to countries who don’t have high breast cancer rates and find out what they are doing and why it works. What has been shown over and over is that there are some natural foods that eliminate the effects of “bad estrogen” or change the cells reception to it. They are broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, turnips, kale, green cabbage and mustard greens. Turmeric (also called curcumin), green tea, selenium, CoQ10, Melatonin, palm oil, rice bran, barley oil also have shown protective benefits in that they keep your cells healthy and only sensitive to the good estrogen.

If you knew that Broccoli costs $1.99 a pound and could be served with dinner, who would choose to have their ovaries removed or be subjected to the unknown dangers of drugs like tamoxifen (the newest in breast cancer protection)? The cost differential is substantial. Surgery or drug therapy can be in the tens of thousands of dollars. Then there are the side effects. Broccoli: none. Do the math! Are we trying to prevent one disease or create another? I’m going with the $1.99 lb broccoli.

Now, is all of this trouble coming from the estrogen that is produced in the ovaries? NOPE. Women (and men) are getting estrogen from many other sources: Birth Control methods, Hormone replacement therapy, Soy products, commercial meat and dairy products. Yep. That’s right. What is very sad about this is that the real dangers of surgery, drug treatment, false health claims about soy, hidden hormones in our food are not included in the National Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

Let’s get “aware”.

Women who get well and stay well from this disease and so many others have the following things in common:

  • They perform an annual comprehensive detoxification program.
  • They avoid all sugars, white foods, artificial foods, junk food, food additives and preservatives.
  • They avoid meat and dairy products that are commercially produced.
  • They consume little or no animal or fat products
  • They eat a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes and whole grains
  • They exercise regularly
  • They don’t believe hype or believe in fear
  • They make happiness and gratitude a daily part of their life.

I am grateful that we only celebrate a disease 1 month out of the year. I would like to celebrate how wonderful women and men are for the other 11 months. We can wear any color we like, live wonderful lives and learn to be the very best we can be. Eat your broccoli and celebrate your greatest health and vitality.

Abraham Cherrix is doing wonderful

He is coming home to Virginia to check up on his “alternative treatment” of supplements, nutrition, and some radiation. He says that he feels wonderful and thinks there is a good change that he is cancer free.

Why are we surprised? Where is our common sense? How is it that man has survived wars, plagues, harsh environmental changes, droughts, pestilence, migrated all over the planet only to experience a growth in population that challenges the resources of the planet? Mankind survived because the human body is a miraculous machine designed to heal, adapt, survive, reproduce, and flourish. Healing is as natural today as it was thousands of years ago. Good food, healthy living, and positive beliefs still work as we still are living in human bodies.

“Traditional” medicine is not so traditional. It has only been around since the industrial revolution. The complete worship of science in medicine only began in the 1800’s. Before that time, healing was natural. Mankind looked to natural ways to heal. If mankind had needed chemicals foreign to the body to heal, mankind would have been extinct long before it was discovered making this whole debate a mute point.

How has mankind fared with this new traditional medicine? Well, it certainly true that people are technically living longer. Is this because of medical inventions or simply in better living conditions brought about by other inventions developed in the industrial revolution? It’s hard to know.

Are people today really living longer? People today die from much different causes than those prior to the early 1800’s. We no longer get run over by horses, or die from tribal attacks, or die from giving birth on a prairie somewhere. No, we start dying around 35 or 40 from chronic disease and just take 30 years to actually finish the process.

Does this traditional medicine actually heal disease? No, certainly not. It is not intended to. There is no cure for the cold, arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, warts, cancer or anything else. All we can expect is that the symptoms will be suppress, the cancer cells are killed, the blood sugar stabilized, or so on. There is no real attempt to allow the body to actually heal. The belief and trust placed in this traditional medicine is almost “blind”. Don’t think, don’t ask questions, and just “drink the kool-aid”. It doesn’t make sense.

How could a human body be so flawed that it cannot heal, and must rely on artificial suppression to resemble good health? It is not. The body IS designed to heal. The internal knowledge has been there since the beginning of time…. And that is how we are here today to debate this ridiculous argument about what is better for health: poison or good nutrition.

Congradulations Abraham Cherrix for your recovery. It is so wonderful to share the planet with smart courageous young man. You are truly an asset to the planet.

Morgellons Disease – Another medical betrayal

Morgellons Disease is the condition where strange fibers emerge from the skin.
"Is It Real?” What do you meant “Is it real?” Of course it is real. Just ask people who are suffering with it. Why is their credibility at risk? When people go into the medical community and ask for help, why are they attacked with suspicion, distrust, and finally betrayed by a community that is riddled with credibility issues? I think the real question is why is the medical community unable to help these people? Why is it acceptable to diagnose the patient as crazy when the doctor fails in order to protect the doctor?

When you take your car to a mechanic and he can’t figure out what is wrong, do you believe that you are crazy or are imagining that your car is broke? Of course NOT.

If the mechanic tries to fix your car and doesn’t, do you continue to pay him and believe that he has the skills to perform the task? Of course NOT.

Why is the medical community exempt from this logic?

Let’s get real. The medical community admits they can’t cure anything….. That’s right, nothing. Let’s look….

They can’t cure a common cold, a common wart, diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, cancer, epilepsy, gout, hypertension, AIDS, Lymes Disease, Crohns, Irritable Bowel Syndrome….. and the list is endless but complete.

What they CAN do is set a broken arm, and give out toxic pharmaceuticals to suppress symptoms that “manage” disease. If those drugs cause other problems, then they suppress those symptoms with other drugs. When they don’t have a drug to suppress the symptoms………. They call the sufferer “crazy”.

I hear this story over and over. People seek help from their doctors, only to be told that their complaints aren’t real, and are patronized. I have noticed that doctors still expect to be paid for their complete LACK OF SERVICE. No other profession gets away with this.

Why are we surprised when we are betrayed like this? It happens more and more. Here’s a hint: If they don’t do the job you want, don’t pay them. You are the customer.

Let’s look closer at Morgellons disease. The symptoms involve a rash or sore that is slow to heal that has strange fibers emerging from the open lesions. There may also be black spore-like specks found on the skin. As time goes on, there seems to be degenerative neurological damage associated with the disease. Nearly all of the sufferers complain of invisible parasites crawling under their skin or biting their skin. Most of the cases are in Florida, Texas or California…… and near water. Cases have been reported in all fifty states.

According to the Morgellons Research Foundation, “Parents of children with Morgellons disease report that the majority of these children have ADHD, ODD, mood disorders, or autism. It is estimated that 65% of these children have some form of psychiatric illness, and 10% have an autism spectrum disorder.” http://morgellons.com/index.html

We know that the human body is a warm moist organic structure that is invaded by parasites seeking a host all of the time. Humans certainly get pin worms, tape worms, yeast, viruses and bacterial infections all of the time, and all through their life. How is it that it is hard to believe that another parasite has found a home?

Most of these parasites cause sickness eventually.

How is this hard to add up? Where is the mystery?

Why do parasites invade a human body? They invade because the human body is a source of food, shelter, and because THEY CAN. If you live on this planet, eat food, drink water, or walk on soil, you probably have a parasite. It is a function of biology.

This is hardly a medical mystery. All of the sufferers will tell you: they have parasites. There, mystery solved. They even bring samples of their parasites to their doctor. Look, proof. Patients expect to get help. They NEVER dream that they will be betrayed with a diagnosis of Delusional parasitosis (aka - crazy).

Notice that not everyone gets infested with parasites. Only weakened subjects are suitable for infestation. Parents of children with Morgellons tell the story. Their children are weakened.

What weakens people and makes them better host is a poor diet (that would be the standard American diet), stress, or a suppressed immune system. We also know that some pharmaceutical and refined sugars suppress the immune system – in other words, weakens the host.

Is all hope lost until they find a drug to suppress the symptoms? Certainly not. How about just get rid of the parasites?

There are parasitic cleanses available over the counter. These are available for both adults and children. There are foods that have been known to rid the body of parasites for centuries. Pumpkin seeds, and garlic are well documented anti parasitic foods. Black Walnut Hull, and ground Cloves have been used for these purposes as well. There are homeopathic remedies such as Thuja and Cina that have been reported to resolve parasitic infestation. Homeopathic remedies are FDA approved and perfectly safe.

I could find no evidence that anyone had tried a full detox or parasitic cleanse, which is not to say it has not been done. Cleanses were done for centuries for just this purpose in most cultures usually associated with religious ritual. Modern America has no cleansing rituals. We depend on the Medical community. Perhaps our trust has been misplaced.

I am hopeful that we can come to a grips with what services the medical community has to offer. Know this: They won’t find a cure for something they refuse to see. If they don’t want to see your problem, don’t look to them for help. It is just that easy.

Medical Betrayal

We go to doctors for help. We do not go there to have our family’s ripped apart if the doctors don’t get their way. The case of Abraham Cherrix says it all. In this case, this 16 year old boy was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease by the doctors at the Children’s Hospital at the Kings Daughters in Virginia. Because his family wanted what was best for him, they trusted the doctors there. He was given a round of chemotherapy that harmed him. We thought doctors took an oath to “first, do no harm”. Surely Abraham’s family believed that doctors are there to help them, and would not harm them. Many of us make this mistake. We don’t know that if we are injured or killed at the hospital, there is virtually no recourse for us. If our children are damaged or lost, and there are laws that limit lawsuits. Many of us don’t know that medical mistakes and damaging treatments are one of the leading causes of death in the United States today. We don’t know that we have virtually no rights to life once involved with the medical community. The doctors, hospitals, and big pharmaceutical have the right to protect their profits. If we allow them to kill our children, they make money. If we try to protect our children by exploring what we think is best, then they betray us and have our children removed from us and then exposed to toxic treatments that may eventually kill them. That’s what happened in this case. The oncologist at Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughter’s called Social Services and reported the family when the family refused a second round of chemotherapy after an initial round had harmed Abraham severely. The case went to Juvenile Court and the Courts protected the Hospital. The courts protected profits. This child has been ordered to go to the hospital to receive treatments that he thinks will kill him. His parents cannot protect him. Why does a fetus have more rights to life than a 16 year old boy? Is this the land of the free? Why are we fighting a war for democracy in other countries when we don’t have rights even to our own life here? This betrayal of a person’s right to seek health care removes all of our rights to life. What happened to our inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

What can you do to protect your life and the lives of your children? If you don’t want your children taken away, injured or possibly killed, take a close look at the profits of this industry. Don’t make a mistake that could costs you your family.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO PROTECT YOUR FAMILY FROM THIS DISASTER?

For myself, I do not carry health insurance. I can assure you, that NO ONE will sue to treat me for free. No one is going to insist on unnecessary tests, procedures or drugs if I won’t pay for them. No one will keep me alive for years on end for free. It just won’t happen. There, my rights are protected.

Please know that this is a VERY personal decision and with it I have taken full responsibility for my health. I am very careful about diet, exercise, sleep and stress. This is not a decision to make lightly.

I tell NO ONE about my medical history, what vitamins I take, if any, what medicines or vaccines I have received or not. This way, no one can harm me about my decisions.

I pay for all health care items with cash or checks as the patriot act required they be tracked.

I weight all medical decisions as if I alone am going to bear the consequences of my actions. If I go to the dentist, and he harms me, the courts will protect him. I have to be able to recover on my own. If I vaccinate my child, and my child becomes autistic, I have to be willing to surrender my career to take care of this child, go bankrupt with medical bills, and sustain the heartbreak of watching my child struggle. There are laws that hold the doctors and pharmaceuticals “harmless”. You are on your own. For the government, you become a statistic, but no one from your doctor’s office is going to help you take care of your injured child. No one from the government or courts will help you with bills or health care. Do your research.

I tell NO ONE about my health care decisions. They are private. I trust no one as I choose not to be betrayed. I wonder had this family NOT shared any information if they would be in the situation they are in today. I wonder if they had NO insurance if we would have even heard of this brave young man.

This case has serious ramifications. Every person and family needs to rethink their assumptions about trusting doctors. Surely, taking a child away from his parents while he is struggling with cancer, and charging the parents with neglect is not a caring act. How could this be about health “care”? Please consider your health care decisions wisely.

What your Doctor May Not Know……..

About Nutritional Medicine May be Killing you – by Dr. Raymond Strand was actually recommended to me by one of my favorite clients. Wow, what a great book. I read so many books about natural health, that it is rare to find one that “wows” me. Most of them are simply reference books – not what I would call “easy reading”. This one is so different. You won’t want to put it down.

Dr. Ray Strand actually connects the dots in a very concise way. If you don’t take your vitamins and supplements, you will need 33 heads of spinach, 27 pounds of butter, 80 medium avocados 80 mangos, 2 lbs of sunflower seeds, 23 cups of wheat germ and 1.5 quarts of corn oil…………. Just to get you 450 IUs of Vitamin E. Shall we move on to the requirement for Vitamin C?


The point is very simple. Our soil is depleted. You will not be awake long enough or have enough money or energy to consume the amount of depleted food to get the nutrition you need to stay healthy. Take your vitamins. It is so much easier….


So what if you don’t “believe” in taking vitamins? Well, Dr. Strand is very clear about this. Vitamin deficiencies result in chronic disease. The story is a little more complicated than this. Dr Strand does an excellent job explaining that exposure to a toxic environment, normal aging, stress and many other factors lead to “oxidative stress” otherwise known as “inflammation”. Chronic inflammation is subsequently diagnosed as one of the very familiar maladies of our day: Heart Disease, Cancer, Macular Degeneration, Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus and Crohn’s Disease, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Asthma, Emphysema, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Diabetes, Chronic Fatigue, and Fibromyalgia.

Dr. Strand is very straight forward with his findings. He simply suggest that Asthma can be improved by adding 200-300 mg of grape-seed extract with 1,000 mg of vitamin C and 200 mg magnesium in addition to the normal daily vitamins and Omega-3 fatty Acids.

This work is definitely worth reading. Who believes that a lifetime on inhaled steroids actually heals anything?

Another refreshing aspect to this work is that Dr. Strand is honest about patient experiences of frustration with traditional Medical Doctors. He is bold about the fact that most Medical Doctors in practice simply do not know anything but “prescription in 5 minutes” or “we can’t find anything wrong with you so it’s all in your head”. They have been trained that if test results or symptoms spell out a certain condition, then certain drug groups apply. Diet, exercise, attitude, and vitamins have been avoided for the most part by the medical community. Dr. Strand even acknowledges that most patients would rather try a natural approach FIRST. He knows that many people today are simply fed up with the frustration, and are looking to help themselves as they have been unable to get help from their doctors. Poison Ivy RELIEF……FAST!

The One week diet - Cabbage Soup

I am finally putting the famous Cabbage Soup Diet online. This diet works, BUT it is not a balanced diet that you can stay on the rest of your life. It has been reported to normalize blood pressure, reduce cholesterol, and triglycerides, and drop weight QUICKLY. You can only stay on it a week. If you want to really loose the weight, you cannot cheat. You will loose the wieght and detox your body... just in time for summer.

Cabbage Soup Diet

This 7-day eating plan can be used as often as you like, but only in one week intervals. If correctly followed, it will clean out your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well-being. After only 7 days of this process, you will begin to feel lighter by at least 10 pounds and possibly 17 pounds, and experience an abundance of energy.

SOUP:

· 1 or 2 cans of stewed tomatoes

· 3 plus large green onions

· 1 large jar of V8 juice or Tomato juice

· 1 bunch of celery

· 1 head of cabbage

· 2 Green Peppers

Season with salt, pepper curry, parsley, if desired, or bouillon, hot or Worcestershire sauce. Cut veggies in small to medium pieces. Cover with water. Boil fast for 10 minutes. Reduce to simmer and continue to cook until veggies are tender.

This soup can be eaten anytime you are hungry during the week. Eat as much as you want, whenever you want. This soup will not add calories. The more you eat, the more you will lose. You may want to fill a thermos in the morning if you will be away during the day.

DRINKS:

DAY ONE

Any fruit (except bananas). Cantaloupes and watermelon are lower in calories than most other fruits. Eat only soup and fruit today.

DAY TWO

All vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed with fresh raw, cooked or canned veggies. Try to eat green leafy veggies and stay away from dry beans, peas or corn. Eat veggies along with the soup. At dinnertime tonight reward yourself with a big baked potato and butter. Don't eat any fruits through today.

DAY THREE

Eat all the soup, fruit and veggies you want. Do not have a baked potato. If you have eaten as above for three days and not cheated, you should find that you have lost 5-7 pounds.

DAY FOUR

Bananas and skim milk: Eat at least 3 bananas and drink as much milk as you can today, along with the soup. Bananas are high in calories and carbohydrates, as is the milk but on this particular day, your body will need the potassium and carbs. Proteins and calcium to lessen the cravings for sweets.

DAY FIVE

Beef and tomatoes: you may have 10 to 20 ounces of beef and a can of tomatoes, or as many as 6 tomatoes on this day. Eat the soup at least once today.

DAY SIX

Beef and veggies, eat to your heart's content of the beef and veggies today. You can even have 2-3 steaks if you like with green leafy veggies but no baked potato. Be sure to eat the soup at least once today.

DAY SEVEN

Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice and veggies, again, be sure to stuff yourself and eat the soup. You can add cooked veggies to your rice if you wish.

By the end of the 7th day, if you have not cheated on this diet, you should have lost 10 to 17 pounds. If you have lost more than 17 pounds, stay off the diet for two days before resuming the diet again.

This diet is fast. The secret lies within the principle that you will burn more calories than you take in. It will flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well-being. This diet does not lend itself to drinking any alcoholic beverages at any time. Because of the fat build-up in your system. Go off the diet at least 14 hours before any intake of alcohol.

Due to the variety of digestive systems in individuals, this diet will affect everyone differently. After day three, you will have more energy than when you began, if you do not cheat. After being on the diet for several days, you will find that your bowel movements have changed. Eat a cup of bran or fiber. Although you can have black coffee with this diet, you may find that you don't need caffeine after the third day.

The basic fat burning soup can be eaten anytime you feel hungry during the seven days. Eat as much as you wish. Remember the more you eat, the more you will lose. You can eat broiled, boiled or baked chicken instead of the beef. Absolutely no skin on the chicken. If you prefer, you can substitute broiled fish for the beef on only one of the beef days. You need the high protein in the beef for the other days.

Continue on the diet as long as you wish and feel the difference both mentally and physically.

So cancel your pandemic plans. You’ll have to wait to resume your anxiety for the next “boogie man” that the media hypes based on the economic interest of a few. And what about all of that plastic and duct tape that was recommended by President George Bush's Administration Homeland Security Office for the Anthrax Outbreak? Where did all of that stuff go? I think the only Anthrax that actually showed up was in the office of an outspoken political adversary of the current administration.

And where are all of these terrorist? Who knows what yellow, orange and red security warnings mean?

The point is STRESS KILLS…… really.

We have known about the disastrous effects of stress. Heart disease, diabetes, and cancer are all linked to stress. Anxiety, depression and stress are major health concerns for most of America. Products Women should NEVER put in their body

Botox - I actually heard a news clip on the radio that announced that the Food and Drug Agency just approved Botox to be injected in the armpits to stop sweating. I cannot begin to imagine what people can be thinking. Botox is derived from botulism bacterium that causes FOOD POISIONING! Bo – tox : short for Botulism toxin. What part of this sounds good for you? I cannot image how the brain can somehow positively spin injecting poison in your face to cause paralysis and come up with a new cosmetic procedure. As if this isn’t bad enough, now we can use this poison to paralyze our sweat glands. Great. Your body does not need to be paralyzed to be beautiful.

Artifical sweetners - It seems that we don’t want to know the truth that artificial sweeteners are simply toxic. We keep hoping that the new and improved product will be safe enough to allow us to eat all of the sweet food we want, loose lots of weight and live happily ever after. Right? History shows us that cyclamate, Saccharin (Sweet’N Low), Aspartame ® (NutraSweet®) were health disasters. Nobody lost weight, and many people became chronically ill from the toxic effects of the artificial sweeteners. The reason that they have zero calories is that the are NOT RECOGNIZED AS FOOD TO THE BODY. THEY ARE TOXIC. That’s right. The body has to figure out how to get rid of them or store them in a safe place (usually fat cells) so that they don’t poison you. The marketing industry knows that we like sweet food, and does it’s best to allow us to continue our false hope while sacrificing our health. Tampons – From the Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) of the 1980’s and 1990’s, to the ever escalating reports of endometriosis, women should be concerned about tampons. Common sense tells us that just about all commercially produced products contain hundreds of harmful chemicals, pesticides, preservatives, and herbicides. Underarm Antiperspirant – A warning about underarm antiperspirant dangers floated around the web stating that aluminum based antiperspirant was linked to breast cancer. "There haven't been any studies to verify these claims about antiperspirants, which are tested by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and have not been found to contain any chemicals that cause DNA damage leading to cancer." Although lymph nodes do clear some toxins from the body, toxins are not released through sweating, according to the ACS. Most cancer-causing substances are released through the kidneys and liver. “

We agree with part of this. Just because somebody makes a statement on the Internet doesn’t make it true, Dr. Bailey. Furthermore, we all have come to know that the FDA has not always been as safety conscious as we would want. Let’s not forget the Vioxx and Celebrex disasters, just to name a few. There is definitely a credibility problem here. It is hard to believe that a doctor could say that “toxins are not released from sweating”. Anyone who has worked out strenuously or done yard work on a hot day KNOWS that toxins are released from sweating. What EVERY man should know

If you are a man living in the United States, you need to get very clear about who your enemies really are. The media will tell you to be very afraid of a terrorist attack. You will see very dramatic footage of some explosion somewhere in the world. Two minutes later you will get some report on Bird Flu reporting that the number of deaths in OTHER parts of the world are up to 73….. and counting.

Gentlemen, these are not your real enemies.

Wake up. The United States has the highest rate of prostate cancer in the world! The CDC estimates around 30,000 men will die from this EACH YEAR….. http://www.cdc.gov/cancer/prostate/prostate.htm

The total victim count for the 911 terrorist attacks was 2,948 according to the Sept. 11 victim website ( http://www.september11victims.com/september11victims/victims_list.htm ). This country became so frightened of this potential danger that we have gone deeply into debt to prevent this kind of event from reoccurring. In that year, and every year since then TEN TIMES MORE MEN died from prostate cancer and it never even made the news. Doctors did not even mention it to their male patients…………..

As of April 25, 2006, The Associated Press reports that "at least 2,391 members of the US military have died since the Iraq war" http://ap.washingtontimes.com/dynamic/stories/I/IRAQ?SITE=DCTMS&SECTION=HOME

The war with Iraq began in March of 2003. If the CDC is correct, that means that approximately 90,000 men have died since then of prostate cancer. This means that 87,609 more men have died quietly of prostate cancer than those in the war without a whisper from the media.

Do the math.

This is a wake up call. There is information available that can PREVENT this disease. The government is finally recognizing that natural supplements can actually give us health. The Real Cost of Healthcare

In a very naive way, most Americans want to believe that if something goes wrong with their body, a simple pharmaceutical drug can return them to perfect health. Most Americans don’t want to know what caused their aliments, or undergo a great deal of pain or change; Americans simply want symptoms to go away. As medical cost are outrageously high and unpredictable, Americans buy health insurance to avoid these additional worries. Personal responsibility in terms of health care includes scheduling annual appointments, paying insurance premiums and adhering to doctor’s advice. There, done. Health care taken care of, right? In fact, does this constitute taking “care” of one’s health?

The truth is that very few Americans feel cared for.

Annual doctor appointments usually involved a very brief encounter with some medical staff to schedule tests to determine what is wrong with the current state of health. If results fall outside the normal ranges, prescriptions for pharmaceutical drugs that may help return “normal” readings may be offered. The possible adverse reactions and risks associated with these chemical substances may or may not be disclosed. Risk assessment is certainly not focused on when dealing with symptom alleviation. There usually isn’t staff to offer counseling on healthy food, attitude, air quality, water quality, adequate sleep, safe sex, or exercise while scheduling the routine “check up” tests. There are now “Health Care Consultants” that will help figure it all out for a mere $10,000.00 a year. Insurance coverage now costs more, covers less, and the spiral goes on an on. Stress, anxiety, and worry are not conducive to better health. Do Americans feel “cared” for?

Is there anyway to achieve and maintain good health in a system that profits from illness? Good health is something most of Americans are born with, have taken for granted, and only deal with at a crisis point. Many trusting Americans have actually taken medication innocently on their doctor’s advice only to discover the disastrous effects later with no one to help them with the resulting costs or damage. Can any long term real health care come from this mess?

A few Doctors are now advising that the answer to real health care is prevention. That’s right. Take good care of the only body you will have to live your life. Assume full responsibility for what happens to it in every way. Treat it kindly and with good care. Put the kind of food in it that has worked in a human body for thousands of years. Take Control of Your Blood Pressure Naturally

There are so many diets that a typical internet search will result in over 50 million results. How can there be so much information and yet we are overweight and confused about what to eat? Keep it simple. Eat only food that looks like food. Eat only food that does not come in a box, bottle, or bag and is NOT labeled with an ingredients list. Real food does not NEED an ingredients list. Example, apple, banana, orange, tomato, chicken, almond ………….. Never eat food that is handed out through a window. There, simple enough.

10. Avoid the WHITE POWDERS – They are all toxic…. This would be white flour, sugar, salt, artificial sweeteners, and well… the illegal stuff. They are simply poison.

11. Take a multivitamin only on the days that you want to be healthy. The facts are that these essential nutrients are NOT available in our food sources anymore. We have overused the top soil on our farms too many times. It is depleted. No longer is food grown suitable to sustain us without illness for our lifetime. Make sure that you choose a vitamin with potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Avoid vitamins that contain iron as iron will rust in water (I’m sure you’ve witnessed this in your life). If you need iron, eat blackstrap molasses.

This is not garlic salt! This means natural garlic cloves. The process of bruising or mashing the clove releases the chemicals in the clove that have the healing effect. This effect diminishes over time. Garlic salt was mashed who knows how long ago. Garlic supplements are processed in some factory some unknown time ago. Garlic cloves are cheap and are found at the local grocery store.

16. Include Lycopene, Taurine, Vitamin E and C – Studies are showing that these supplements are essential to lower high blood pressure. If you choose your multivitamin carefully, these should be included. Make sure that there is at least 400 IU’s of Vitamin E included. You may want to consider adding another vitamin C in a chewable form (because they taste good, and are fun) to take in addition to the multivitamin.

Eating Right for Your Blood Type - Book Review

Yet another book on diet, disease, do’s and don’t. It seems that we are so confused about eating and disease that we are constantly looking for a theory that actually works. It’s sad to say that the only people these theories work for are the authors and publishers in terms of profitability. What is remarkable is that we all have been through the Adkins disaster, the South Beach Diet craze, the Zone, and Blood type dieting, and yet we still don’t know what to eat.

The sheer number of diet theories is not an indication that they are all useless, and simply designed to add more complexity to an already confusing situation. There is some merit to each one of them. What is suspect is that they each attempt to formulate some theory about why diets don’t work, and then attempt to solve the problem by placing food in either a good or bad category for the reader to abide by.

What is unique about Eating Right for your Blood type, written by Peter J. D’Adamo, ND, is that it is formulated on research that shows the migration and evolution of human blood types. Furthermore, based on this theory, humans would have eaten what was available in the type of surrounding that they had evolved into. Eating foods that come from outside that evolved station would result consuming incompatible “protein lectins”, resulting in inflammation and disease. It is a great theory, and explains biology quite well. But the theory goes on to neatly place everyone in a box, based upon blood types, and recommend foods that are either suited to their blood type or not. There we have it, all neat and tidy, in a box.

Just like the Adkins Craze went too far, Eating Right for your Blood Type has become somewhat of a cult craze. Yes, there are books, tapes, products and even schools that train so-called experts in teaching and coaching the diet. It is a marketing bonanza. The problem arises when you look at this theory from a broader perspective.

Evolution didn’t stop with mutation of blood types. The Industrial Revolution happened and with that came food additives, genetic engineering of food sources, fast food and stress. We don’t look like, dress, behave or eat like our ancestors. More than ample evidence shows that french fries are not suitable for human consumption no matter what your blood type. It doesn’t take statistics from the National Institute of Health to figure out that stress kills. We all quietly know this. We know that we have evolved to the point where we are all dying from too much progress with a diagnosis of “chronic disease”.

Dr. D’Adamo ignores this most contemporary step in evolution completely. He also ignores the fact that there are precious few untainted food resources left that can be consumed safely. Because of our race for profits and progress, our meats have become injected and exposed to outrageous amounts of antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides, and growth hormones. Finding safe meat is difficult. The same is true of fruits and vegetables. To blindly ignore the reality of our poisoned food sources, and to eliminate a rare source of vitamins because of an evolution theory, leaves many of us in a situation where it is impossible to find food.

The facts are that most of our contemporary diseases are not caused by an incompatibility in our genetic history and our food choices. Our diseases are caused by our contemporary life style. We eat too much processed food, we don’t sleep enough, we don’t smile enough, we don’t exercise enough, we don’t drink enough pure water, and we are paranoid and stressed beyond health.

Our ancestors are dead. We have to survive our immediate surroundings. To do that we MUST avoid those poisons that will kill: this would include smoking, alcohol, drugs, stress, artificial foods, artificial medicines, and artificial “entertainment”. Consuming dead things NEVER gives life.

To survive our contemporay culture, we need some common sense rather than another theory or book of do's and don'ts. Natural Holistic Health proposes guidelines like:
Eat only food that looks like food and bears no “ingredients list”. Engage in life fully by using your mind and body. Play, laugh and engage with real people. Go to bed on time. Drink plenty of water. Don’t worry about things over which you have no control. Don’t look for “quick fixes” as a way to deal with your own survival. Learn a healthy form of self discipline. Be happy. Eat the wonderful fruits and vegetables that are in season as it will be a year before you see them again. Detox Annually. Be the best you can be.

Avian Flu Insanity

Just about everyone has had something to say about the alleged upcoming “pandemic” that will reportedly kill millions. Where is the reality here?

According to the National Institute of Health’s website:

“Avian influenza refers to a large group of different influenza viruses that primarily affect birds. On rare occasions, these bird viruses can infect other species, including pigs and humans. The vast majority of avian influenza viruses do not infect humans. An influenza pandemic happens when a new subtype emerges that has not previously circulated in humans.

For this reason, avian H5N1 is a strain with pandemic potential, since it might ultimately adapt into a strain that is contagious among humans. Once this adaptation occurs, it will no longer be a bird virus--it will be a human influenza virus. Influenza pandemics are caused by new influenza viruses that have adapted to humans.

Health experts have been monitoring a new and extremely severe influenza virus – the H5N1 strain – for almost eight years. The H5N1 strain first infected humans in Hong Kong in 1997, causing 18 cases, including six deaths. Since mid-2003, this virus has caused the largest and most severe outbreaks in poultry on record. In December 2003, infections in people exposed to sick birds were identified.

Since then, over 100 human cases have been laboratory confirmed in four Asian countries (Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Viet Nam), and more than half of these people have died. Most cases have occurred in previously healthy children and young adults. Fortunately, the virus does not jump easily from birds to humans or spread readily and sustainably among humans. Should H5N1 evolve to a form as contagious as normal influenza, a pandemic could begin.”

Please notice that this is a hypothetical situation that even the National Institute of Health admits i
